Whats been cooking :)

Soups are the "In" thing for us this year :) not only are they simple to prepare and healthy, they are packed with nutrition. i became a fan of soups after i got some during and after my confinement...thanks to the yummilicious soups Victoria, Emily, Fayvier n Jae prepared for me:)
here are some of the dishes i have whipped up in the previous week:

Stockholm

Last christmas we made a trip down to the capital of Sweden: Stockholm...a 6hr drive from Karlskrona
we set out at 7am and had a great non stop 6 hr drive :) sweden is filled with picturesque places its no wonder that Alvin n i kept our eyes wide open thruout
Baby Aaren of course cooperated by sleeping :) and only waking for his 3hourly feeds...
we stayed in the heart of centrum at the Nordic Sea hotel which had a ice bar in it...
our 4 day n 3 nights stay was well worth it :)

We had a little Christmas celebration of our own...just Aaren, Alvin and me.. a real christmas tree and loads of pressies!

"I" got Alvin a F16 fighting Jet from Kyosho and a black shirt, he got me a nice turtle neck sweater from Gant and a BabyBliss Pro 230 hair straightener ;) i always wanted one!!

We both got Aaren some toys from Brio ;) we got a wine holder cum candle holder from our friends Priyah & Naga

It was really fun unwrapping the pressies with my parents watching us on webcam LOL. I love christmas..maybe when we get back to SG, we should make it a point to celebrate christmas annually juz like we celebrate Diwali!

A year older

25th jan marked me aging a year more.. I'm 27 :) I normally just do a little cake cutting with my immediate family but this year, my hubby threw me a mini party.. He invited my friends and their families over, had the food catered from the Indian restaurant and a heart shaped cake to mark the day! I got a 16gb iPhone from my sweetheart and almost 2k kroner worth of H&M gift certificates from friends. I was smiling from ear to ear and I don't believe anyone in my place wouldn't. It was a nice evening with some close friends and some really nice food. Thanks hunney for being such a darling. I was asked to make a wish when I blew the candles on my cake but there wasn't anything else I could wish for cuz I have a loving hubby who cares so much for me and there in my arms lay the glory of the heavens - Aaren :) it was a wonderful day indeed :) thank u everyone for your wishes, blessings and presence!
