Chocolate LG

24th November , we went down to Tampines Mall to get myself a mobile phone.Alvin decided that the LG K800 was the most suitable for me :) and even i loved it.

The LG k800 Chocolate series boasts a class-leading MP3/AAC music player, 128 MB of on-board memory, a 1.3-megapixel camera that includes flash and takes swell photos, videos, and is a good audio companion too. all this in a phone that is slim enough (15mm thickness only) to slip into the pocket of a pair of tight jeans. Battery life is an impressive 200 hours standby with 3hour plus talktime

It is also the very first handset from LG's Black Label Series which is aimed at users who value style as highly as they value technology. Targeting the trendsetter and the stylish mobile users, LG Black Label Series is a completely separate range of exclusive designed, premium mobile products. I like its size, minimalist style, sound quality, in-line remote and elegant design. The only downsides for them are that you can get greasy paw prints on.

Sleek and visually stunning, the LG Chocolate phone remains completely black until the touch-pad – a world’s first for mobile phones – is gently brushed. Once activated, the phone’s signature design feature, its glowing red touch-sensitive icons, bring to life a ‘hidden’ full-colour screen that completes the phone’s unique look and feel of minimalism with a modern twist...

I am the proud owner of the Chocolate phone! Yeah!Though i kept shunning Alvin from getting ame a phone, I have finally got one...Thanks to him.I luv the phone!

The day the car was towed away

The first time in my life i encountered a car break down...and hte account of what happened just below:

We had gone to the East coast beach for an evening out as a family.Spent time taking pictures with my new mobile phone(LG K800)aslo known as Chocolate then it started drizzling and so we all headed towards the car.Mum wasnt in the mood to cook and so we drove towards Serangoon to buy us some "Thosai" for dinner. It was about 8 when we were done with Serangoon and since the christmas light up in orchard was just a stones throw away, we headed there.... little did we know it will be jammed and our car will break down.

Dad was driving but due to the jam, he had to keeep braking and engaging his clutch. Near Centrepoint, there was a queer sound coming from the clutch and as we passed the jam and headed towards the Istana, our car slowed down considerably. When we were infront of Plaza Singapura, our car broke down :( we had to get the Tow truck to pull it away but the truck took a while to reach. It came in about 45 minutes and meanwhile i had called my husband to come pick us up from the spot. The most irritating part of it all was the damn musical thing happening at PS, it sounded like they were screaming yet they had managed to get themselves a huge crowd. It was really making my head throb.l...so eventually we managed to get home at about 1030 and had our dinner...

Good oL' Days

My closest friend, Nadia and I used to have great times when we were in Poly.We used to go shopping with empty pockets...no we didnt shoplift...but we used to try every single garment we fancied, just for the kick of it...then once the sales people surrounded us, we'd give excuses like"oh no i know it fits really well but i was looking for something similar to my friends...which looked ...! and then get out of that shop.

It used to be so much fun when we used to get on the trains and buses and when People started pushin,we'd get down in our ang moh accent and start"u noe back in Aussie/Russia it never is like that, why is everyone just pushing, dont they have any manners ?" it really got people to move away from us.Was so funny.

Then there were times we used to give nicjk names to everyone in our lecture theatre and just talk and talk all day....we used to study by splitting up the chapters, say there were 20 chapters in that subject, Nad would take the first 10 and i'd thake the rest then we'd study and make notes and later teach each other and exchange notes.

So much so we used to call each other even when we were just beside each other, just to let people know we get calls too ;) she'd call and hang up and i'd continue talkin to...NObody!

I really miss her and all the times we had.:)but i'm happy i have the memories to live with:)
Miss u nadia! :)

Day at the beach

Today DH had taken leave and so we headed to the beach after purchasing chandini's school books and dropping her off @ home.It was sucha lovely sunny day! Tide was high, sky blue, waters looked sparkling bluish green.Of cuz i didnt waste the opportunity, we did take a few shots with Alvin's Sony Ericson ;) will try to post them when i use the other PC.(BTW i am using the one in my dad's room)Just updated the entire system, so now its much faster! We had to leave ECP cuz it started drizzling after we were there for about and hour and half...then just drove around half of singapore while listening to some really romantic luv songs! Wat a day...got reminded of the good ol days when we were still dating...we used to drive around so much :)

Alvin's frend requested for some help from his regarding his wedding thats taking place in gardenasia, in Sungei buloh! So my DH(dearest Husband) has gone to lend his helping hand. so for now just one thing to look forward to...today's episode of prison break!

18 November 2006

It was dad's birthday and he turned 50 this year :) we went out for dinner as a family and hen to Vivocity to jalan jalan. this was my second visit there and yeah we saw the ship that was built way before Titanic anchored next to the waters beside Vivocity. As usual had to go round and round in the carpork just to get a lot...in the end we parked it somewhere convenient for others and no...not a lot there was!

So yeah we went up to the third deck where the area is used as a big big swimming pool for kids...the view was breathtaking.very nice :) i mean yeah for a shopping centre to have that was really nice. Then yeah we walked around til closing time while having our Haagen Daz ice creams and got home...Then we lit up the candles and got dad to cut the cake! Would there be any birthday without a cake? Nope not in my house! :0 we just find excuses to have cakes and this was a great one! :)

This Week...

Nothin much really this week. Was quite a boring one.Its 18th Nov tomorrow and my dad's 50th Birthday! We'll be going out for dinner as a family...hmmm the options are still open, as to where we should or shouldn't go. Next year, I'd be half as old as my father.I turn 25 in Jan and he'll still be 50 then...

I know 2 days later, its Sanju's and sunita's birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY much in advance!
The year is coming to an end pretty soon and the memories of all that has happened this year remains as fresh as ever. This was quite an eventful year for us.A year older, a year wiser...
Til the next time cuz right now i got nothin much to write:)

The Covenant & Vivo City

In 1692, in the Ipswich Colony of Massachusetts, five families with untold power formed a covenant of silence. One family, lusting for more, was banished; their bloodline disappearing without a trace--until now. This thriller tells the story of the Sons of Ipswich, four young students at the elite Spencer Academy who are bound by their sacred ancestry. As descendants of the original families who settled in Ipswich Colony in the 1600's, the boys have all been born with special powers. When the body of a dead student is discovered after a party, secrets begin to unravel which threaten to break the covenant of silence that has protected their families for hundreds of years.( ok i copied this from a website:))

I quite liked the movie.Action packed, thrilling and good sound effects n tracks.A must watch :)
http://www.myspace.com/thecovenantsoundtrack -->Check the trailers out on this site

Anyway we went down to the much talked about Vivo city, yeah sure they have alot of new shops and yes very nice stuff these shops carry but it was super crowded.Lots of new brands that were quite unheard of in Singapore. 7 storeys of parking space but not one single lot was available.Had to wait for people to leave then we could park. Anyway a nice place to go but definitely when its less crowded

Yoga instead of Joggin

The weather as i expected turned out pretty violent. Heavy rains and thunder... leaving the tracks wet and pretty unsafe to jog on so luckily dad was at home and he decided that we should do Yoga at home instead of the jog. Thank god he mentioned Yoga else i was already feeling pretty zapped after doin the new blog thing.also Sheetal requested for new exercises and the latest ones i have sadly i didnt save after printing. So i spent about 45 minutes getting all the exercises onto an excel spreadsheet.

SO once again i have stuck to my word and done my thing! Yesh i have exercised continuously for 4 days now...now arent you so proud of me? Thanks to my dad...he saved the day! Lucky aint i to have a yoga instructor at home...a personal instructor at that....no now dun get all green will u :)

Ought to be

I feel pretty proud of myself. Of course, i believe... i ought to be cuz it takes alot of discipline to follow a routine which you could do without.

I have religiously followed my exercise regime for the past 3 days. ( i know its just 3 days but still for me its an acheivement) Today's turn for joggin again. Yesterday i did workouts for more and an hour and this time i concentrate on the intensity rather than the quantity.

Hopefully the weather remains good as it rains out of the blue in the previous few days. I dont want to start slacking not cuz i want to but i have to? you know how we humans find an excuse to excuse ourselves from exercise? :) i just dont want that to happen...not this time

Other than that i kept myself busy with stitching. It sure is a great way to pass time. I'm only left with the black threads! Cant wait to finish it...and maybe start on something new? :)

World of creation...

My eldest cousin Sunita just gave birth and news has it that her sister, who is my second cousin Sonia is also due in June next year. Thats a great piece of news.Sad part is they wont be able to attend my wedding which will probably be in June.Hmm but nevertheless I'm really happy for her... Babies are really cute and its really nice to see them growing right infront of your eyes. Like their first word, first walk... so much to look forward to.

Congrats Sonia! God bless you and the little one.

Roaches roaches everywhere

last night small fry and i decided to watch bigg boss(hindi version of Big Brother)Where 13 celebs live under 1 roof for 100days and one by one will get nominated to leave...
but then at 12, just half and hour before the show, we went to the kitchen as we needed to put the utensils and also take a leek and there we saw a cockroach on the floor and one on the ceiling. There were roaches everywhere!Being the hero that i usually am, I saved the day and my entire family by battling with them for a whole 15 minutes. After which we managed to put them to their grave! Then too tired and a little afraid thait their battalion will get back at us, we decided to tuck in. Still i didnt sleep til about 1am!

Nightmares n Dreams

I didnt sleep well last night. I dont really know why, cant remember the nightmare I had but I know I had one. I, not being the kind who has sleepless nights or nightmares or even dreams at that, I feel really eek about not having slept well.

Nightmares may be a way to relieve the pressures of the day or even things we've watched on tv that keep circulating in our minds or so they say.

I was just looking for an explanation, where else but on-line and here's the discovery of the day:While you sleep, your brain doesn't just turn off. It goes through several sleep stages, including REM, or Rapid Eye Movement, sleep. Why do they call it that? Because during this stage of sleep, your eyes move back and forth under your closed eyelids. During REM sleep, you have dreams and sometimes those dreams can be scary or upsetting.About every 90 minutes your brain switches between non-REM sleep and REM sleep. The amount of time spent in REM sleep increases with each sleep cycle through the night. The longest periods of REM sleep occur towards morning. If you wake during this REM stage, it is easier for you to remember what you were dreaming about. That's why your most vivid dreams - and nightmares - occur in the early morning hours.

No wonder I never can remember what i dreamt of...Oh they also said that it might help if you sleep with a teddy,I do!!! No wonder i dont get these very often, but maybe last night Yoshi (my teddy) slipped away . I think if you cant sleep well you should get a teddy too.

Nightmares may be scary for a little bit, but now you know what to do. Sweet dreams! :)
