A shot at Baking

Chocolate nut shortbread


I always envied people who could bake... and i loved home econ lessons in secondary school but after that each time i tried it,it turned out nothing like wat it was supposed to be... cakes looked more like biscuits whereas biscuits were too hard to bite on..so like every normal homosapien, i put the blame on the ingredients or the oven or the quality of blah blah blah..there was always something to push the blame on...lol it was fun trying at first but too many failures made me give it up.
since i am in Sweden with loads of time on hand and an oven just like one in school, i decided to give it a shot again!

And walla!! it turns out i made the right move... I got too ambitious and made a banana bread cake and chocolate nut shortbread in the same day!!! They both turned out well ;)

Each time my neighbours give me goodies to taste, i dont return their dishes til i whip up something to fill it up. i think its a good habit lol it makes me wanna get sumthing done ;) sorry ladies for holding ur plates ;) but now i have none on hand!

i gave my neighbours a portion of what i baked and here are their comments:

Serene said" Madam! Both are very nice! Especiall the short bread!Yummy!"

Kimberly? I am waiting for some constructive comments here...waiting...

My husband loved them both too! ;) he didnt have dinner like he usually does; right after work..instead he had the baked stuff and only had dinner much later ;) even asked for 2nd helpings so i am convinced my efforts have paid off!
