25th Birthday on 25th Jan
We know we're getting old when the only thing we want for our birthday is not to be reminded of it. But yet i was looking forward to my birthday, maybe cuz of chuts as she really wanted to cut a cake. We got double cakes, one vanilla and the other awfully chocolate! DH went all the way to Katong to get me the choc cake and then back to Aljunied to get one for chuts. Then the pizza and KFC were inevitable...
I still remember when mum was pregnant with chandini, i was hoping she be born on the 25th as well but she was too much in a hurry to see the world and popped out just 2 days before my birthday! 23rd Jan 1993. She's 14 this year...its nice to see how she has grown. From that tiny baby into a secondary school going girl.
I believe i am kinda close to her.Always wanted to have a strong bond with my sisters...perhaps its still developing.I was so excited when she was born, even before that when my mum went into labour pains i was the one who accompanied her to the hospital with dad, when chandini was born i was the one hanging out with mum most often, at times at the expanse of missing school. I was the one who named her "Chandini Rai".
I was the one whose hair got pulled when she was a toddler.I was the one who erm spoils her?
Well she is lucky to have me...i feel, I have been thru the phase not too long ago so i believe no generation gap exists. we share our thots and days happenings at the end of the day before bed.
Well lucky she and lucky me...to have each other!
